Hello parents and guardians. We are looking out our window at a snowy, windy winter day in February. But we know that spring is just around the corner (or at least we hope!). That means we have many fun and exciting Misericordia events coming up. We look forward to Candy Days in April, Artist in All in May, and of course, our MFA Benefit in June.

Thank you very much for your volunteering at the many holiday events hosted at Misericordia. It was a very busy time for the Misericordia staff, and you helped lighten the load on them and manifest the importance of Misericordia in our lives.

Luckily, we have a few more volunteering opportunities! Looking ahead, we have Candy Days on the 24th and 25th of April, when Misericordia expects us to be involved raising money for and awareness of Misericordia. Please be sure to sign up for shifts to help collect in your neighborhood, and/or set up a FirstGiving page to solicit donations from your friends and family.

The Sibs will once again host their ever-popular Artist in All exhibition on Wednesday, May 20th at The Art Institute of Chicago. What a truly amazing event showcasing our very own artists (and one of our personal favorite events)!

And finally, our signature event, the MFA Benefit, will be held on June 20th. This is the one fundraising event that is completely organized by the MFA, and the only event that brings all of us together to celebrate the family of Misericordia.

Our talented Benefit chairs Holly Jennings and Beth Merlo, along with our Fundraising chairs Barbara and Louis Goldman, have been hard at work for months planning this event and introducing new, innovative raffles and fun things to do at the Benefit. They are assisted by a large number of committees and individuals working with them to make this a not-to-be-missed event.

Please come to the Benefit and bring your friends and family members. It’s a great opportunity to hear directly from Sr Rosemary, watch the inspiring performances by the Heartbreakers, dance, and have fun with many raffles and fun activities.
